What is your opinion on the best medicine for a sore throat and runny/stuffy nose?
My husband is very sick with a bad sore throat and runny/stuffy nose that is causing him to snore very loudly while sleeping. I heard nose strips work best with clearing sinuses. What do you recommend from person experience/knowledge on what I should pick up?
Halls cough drops have been working but only while he sucks on them. He’s also been taking Nyquil at night but it just makes him sleepy.
Gargle with warm salty water several times a day for sore throat. He can’t really help snoring because he’s all clogged up so his breathing is off. I don’t know, but doubt that strips would help with that kind of snoring. Sleeping on your side usually helps stop snoring. Just coax him to turn over on his side if he’s on his back by gently pushing his shoulder in that direction until he turns over. Robitussin cough syrup is good. Nyquil is very good. It also comes in a day time formula, Dayquil. A little regular Afrin spray will help with the stuffy nose; just don’t use it for a long time.
